Wow. I’m stunned. I thought for sure they were going to officially announce that they had acquired R1 distribution rights for Evangelion 1.0. Looks like I was waaay off.
Three out of ten shows are “new” – previously unavailable for R1 viewers. I think that’s kind of sad. The license rescues are great, don’t get me wrong. They’re all worth picking up. Hell, I’ve picked up most of them so far. Eh, I guess I expected too much from FUNi’s statement.

Blah. What a title for the final announcement. I guess it’s better than having those Geneon titles float in limbo forever, but I was really hoping for Eva 1.0, Soul Eater or Bamboo Blade (signs pointed that way after they picked up Nabari No Ou), or… anything new. Not something that I’ve seen like three times on Adult Swim.

Unless my math is off, that makes 11 titles. Isn’t it supposed to be a 10 Day Countdown?
