Legend of the Otakufiend

I think I’m going to make this a regular, weekly feature (provided I get stuff in the mail on a weekly basis). Let’s take a look see, shall we?

Monday:Two packages arrived from RightStuf. One was a couple of Bandai titles I had pre-ordered during the last Bandai sale. The highlight of this package is the Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence Blu ray. Technically, this is a double-dip for me since I have the sub only DVD release, but I couldn’t resist 1) having anime on blu ray, and 2) having the choice to watch the movie dubbed or subbed (this new release is supposed to feature a dub by the S.A.C. cast). I’ll probably be listing my DVD for sale on Amazon’s marketplace sometime soon.The second package contained the Kaleido Star thinpak collection for both seasons that I ordered during the 12+ Days of Christmas sale. I had watched the first disc of season 2 (New Wings), and decided to pick up the whole series.

Underneath that was a pile of manga better suited for my other site. (Urotsukidoji & La Blue Girl)

Tuesday:Another order from RightStuf’s 12+ Days of Christmas sale –
Black Cat DVD Box Set – arrived today.

Wednesday:I didn’t think I was going to get anything today, but when I got home there was a package waiting for me! I had forgotten all about an order I’d made at wherehouse.com using a 20% off coupon. It’s easy to forget, since it takes so long for their packages to arrive media mail (the cheapest option). This package represents the last of my blind-buying for 2008, which included: Photon – The Idiot Adventures, Magical Project S – Pretty Sammy Debut!, Burn-Up Excess Warrior Files, and the Maze DVD Collection. When will I watch them? Hopefully, before my fortieth birthday. :p
